Facts about LED
LED stands for Ligth Emitting Diod. It is a semiconductor that emits light when an electrical current is applied to it. LED needs direct current with the right polarity to function.
LED lighting has many advantages compared to traditional light bulbs or flourescent tubes. The major advantages are the energy consumption, low heat development and long life span. LED lightings also have other advantages - the lack of glass or fillament makes it very shock resistant.

Next generation LED - SMD
SMD stands for Surface Mounted Device. This gives us a slimmer card where we can put the diodes closer. These cards have more light intensity and a better light spread.

About our lighting
Our main range is built on the SMD LED. The light sources we use comes in many different shapes and we design our own SMD cards to have them optimized for our lightings.

ligth output compared to traditional halogen - 3 diodes = 4W halogen        6 diodes = 8W halogen     9 diodes = 16W halogen
(above figures are a rough comparison, just to give you an idea of the light output)

For more information about the different light sources used, please see our catalogue.

The LED technology that gives us slim cards with more light intensity and almost no heat develpoment, makes it possible to put more focus on the design. The result is a lighting that is optimized for its environment.
